We have today posted some important documents on the website. We would ask all members to view the Election Policy (here) and the Board Membership and Conduct Policy (here) as these will form the basis of the forthcoming elections. Further relevant documentation associated with the constitution and governance of the BWFCST will shortly be added. We will keep all members advised when issue is made.

Constitution of the BWFCST Board

Upon election of the new BWFCST board, the existing Steering Group will stand down. The fully elected board will be constituted of the top 9 polling members, decided by the independently administered ballot process. Voting will be possible both online and via post and is being externally run by Electoral Reform Services in association with the independently chaired Election Management Group. Details of the voting process will be confirmed to all members in due course.

The 9 elected members will then form the new board which will have officer positions of Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. The remaining 6 elected members will each be allocated roles to include, amongst others, Finance & Investment, Events & Fundraising, Community Engagement, Supporter Liaison, Marketing, Communications, PR & Media and IT/Administration/Membership.

The board will also have the ability to appoint co-opted members to the board to provide input and assistance in specific fields as appropriate.

Election Timetable

In order to allow as many members as possible to take part in the elections and to include those who sign up at the Legends Game on Saturday 14 May 2016, it has been decided to extend the members registration deadline for one final time until 30 May ’16.

The election timeline will now be:
30 May 2016 - Registration closes for members to either vote or stand in the elections
06 June 2016 - Open nominations
04 July 2016 - Close nominations
18 July 2016 - Issue ballot packs and open voting
15 Aug 2016 - Voting closes
22 Aug 2016 - AGM and results announced
