PLAY SPORTZ was founded and established back in 2017 by Minesh Patel as a non-profit community sports organisation based out of Westhoughton. We run as a team of mix gender volunteers, providing various sports (core being Football and Netball) to children of ages 4 to 16 of mix gender at purely a ‘Fun Level’. We don’t operate a competitive league environment, it is purely for children of various backgrounds to be able to come out (put their Xboxes away), join in and learn new sports. We also create a platform for some of the kids who also play in leagues outside of Play Sportz to sometimes experiment in their development without the pressure of coaches and parents (or even team players) breathing down their necks etc. Everyone leaves with a smile and sense of having fun, making friends, developing and feeling inclusive. The club has grown from when it started with 5 children to over 50 children. Throughout the years we have taken them on many outdoor excursions, activities and also organised mini tournaments. We recognise that many of our players and parents have and still do, support our local club Bolton Wanderers, and so throughout the years we have kept a good relationship with the Community Trust Team and have worked together in the past.

If any children wish to try out at our club, then please do feel free to get in touch with Minesh on 07930 473732.

Her Game Too - BWFC

Emily, as HGT BWFC Ambassador, along with her advocates, Angela and Abbie, will be working alongside the Trust and the Club to grow the HGT campaign with the aim of fostering an ethos in football in which women are welcomed and respected equally. Alongside working full-time in their day jobs, the team dedicate their hours around this to support the progression of HerGameToo.

The Embankment

We are the only bar in Benidorm that is solely about the Wanderers. The Embankment is owned by two Wanderers fans who decided it was time there was one. So here we are. We offer all live sports and every Wanderers game live. We have ice cold beer on draft and ice cold bottles. We have great offers every day and also have free (yes free) hot and cold tapas.

We only opened in mid-December last year but the support both here in Spain and from Whites supporters in the UK has been immense. We thank each and every one of you. We are situated in Benidorm directly opposite Camping El Raco which is on one of the main routes into Benidorm so when you come over please give us a visit.

We are very keen on establishing close ties with the club and especially a BWFCST Affiliated Spanish BWFC Supporters Club.

We also now have very close ties with Benidorm CD FC and we are personal friends with the owner of the football club. So, if there is anything that we can assist with then please feel free to contact us.

Bolton Wanderers Disabled Supporters Association

Hi, I am Gerard Howell, Chairman of the BWDSA. I have worked as a community support worker for over 30 years, working with adults with disabilities, and more recently people with mental health needs.

One of the roles of the BWDSA is to make the matchday experience for our disabled supporters the best it can be; this applies to the away fans too. We ensure that they are happy with the facilities and know where everything is in the ground that they might need. We take up any issues that are identified with the Club, to try to resolve them. Many of our disabled supporters are huge Bolton Wanderers supporters and have been attending matches for many years. The camaraderie that exists between them is really strong.

We all want to get behind the club and the players and see them win. We also want to grow our membership, but we are reliant on membership fees and the donations we receive as an association to fund what we do and to cover administration costs. One example is our annual pre-match Christmas meal with our disabled supporters; which we are keen to hold again once we're all able to return to the ground safely.

We are looking forward to working alongside Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust as affiliates, as we go forward.’
